Xinyi is a Master of Urban Planning student at the National University of Singapore and a Research Assistant in the Department of Architecture. Her current projects include: (1) displacement of the informal economy in Asian cities using urban spatial data and street-view analytics; and (2) travel and migration patterns among older adults in the United States.
Her recent research interests center on civic technology and participatory modelling, exploring how urban knowledge is produced and mobilised through data-driven methods.
