Shobhit is an undergraduate researcher at the National University of Singapore, working at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and urban analytics. At the Civic Resilience Lab under Prof. Chaewon Ahn, he develops machine learning pipelines that extract insights from millions of StreetView images—using OCR, segmentation, and geospatial analysis to map how redevelopment reshapes city life.
His current work applies vision models to detect and track small businesses lost to urban change, with a broader aim of designing scalable, human-centred AI systems that make cities more adaptive, transparent, and resilient.
