Febriani Valentina BR Sihombing has interdisciplinary backgrounds in architecture and tourism planning. Her work focuses on participatory planning, sustainable development, and climate resilience through qualitative research and field-based engagement with communities across Indonesia. Drawing on experiences in tourism planning, community development, and spatial planning, she is interested in understanding how local knowledge, governance, and stakeholder collaboration contribute to more inclusive and resilient places.

Her research interests include participatory planning, community resilience, sustainable tourism, climate adaptation, and urban and regional development. She is particularly interested in bridging research and practice by developing context-sensitive planning approaches that strengthen community capacity and promote socially and environmentally just development.
